Belated SAG awards review

I know, I'm totally late with my S.A.G awards best and worst dressed review. However, we were out of town for a couple of days and simply weren't able to find a wifi spot (in the wilderness) to enable us to blog. But, you know what they say....better late than never. So, here goes. Let's start with the best dressed, shall we.
Viola Davis in Marchesa. The best of the night, in my opinion.

Rose Byrne in Ellie Saab

Emily Blunt in Oscar De La Renta

Octavia Spence in Tadashi Shoji

Lea Michele in Versace (credit where credit's due!)

Tilda Swinton in Lanvin

OK, now for the worst dressed. There weren't too many shockers this award ceremony but the few that there were, were proper shockers. See....

Heather Morris. As if the dress weren't bad enough, she went and made it even worse with 80's hair.

Busy Philips. Where the heck does this hippy think she's going? Wholefoods?

Zoe Saldana. Before you say it, yes, I know its Givenchy haute couture! I do love the dress and I think she's beautiful. However, she seems to have teamed the dress with a white tank. It just looks odd to me. Even if it was designed that way, its just not right, as far as I'm concernced.

Street Style, Hong Kong Style

Awesome street style from a regular style blogger, Harry C, on Lookbook. His look is classic, chic and so well put together. If only I could get my hands on that bag and those pants.

New find

I just found out about a brand called Studio Sober, in the Netherlands. Their work is stunning. It's so simple, with great lines and soft colours. The styling and campaign is so chic. I love pretty much everything about this line. It seems that it's not available online or in stores that any of us have access to but, just to tease you, here are a few looks, from their website, studiosober.nl

Street Style, Karl Style

Outside the Karl Lagerfeld pop up store in London, for the launch of the Karl and Net-a-Porter collaboration. She's looking pretty Largerfeld, before even stepping in to purchase the goods. HOT!

NJR Awards, Worst Dressed

So, it was the NJR awards at Cannes, yesterday and there were very few stars (who we know) there. However, there were a couple of big ones and they didn't disappoint. They were dressed hideously. Don't believe me? Here, take a look for yourself.
Not the worst I've seen her look but bad, nonetheless.

I don't know what the heck's going on with this one?

What the what is going on here? This is french star Shy'm looking vile in this garish creation.

Street Style, Kingdom & State Style

The lovely owner of Koo De Ker Boutique, in Salt Lake City, asked her friend Tess (pictured) to let me take a picture of her in this electric blue Kingdom & State dress (www.kingdomandstate.com). I think she looked awesome in it and the necklace and bracelets are the perfect touch. Thanks ladies!

Street Style, London Style

I love this look. Its a mix of masculine and feminine. Perfect London style. The knot detail on the shirt, under the jumper (sweater) is a great touch. No need to heaps of accessories!

Let Me Just Take It Back

John Held....you know him? Well if not, it's about time you did. He illustrated countless covers for Life magazine. His illustrations caused a fashion CRAZE, and energized women's fashion in the 20's. So...if you have ever said "I totally LOVE the clothes from the 1920's!" (in a valley girl accent), what you are really saying is "I appreciate the work of the late John Held, and I feel that he made an important contribution to the early century's fashion revolution." (In a hoity-toity art collector accent)

Gaultier Vs Winehouse

So, it seems that Amy's Father, Mitch Winehouse is a little more than annoyed at Jean Paul Gaultier for using Amy as inspiration for his collection, from which he will profit. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I think his take on Amy's style is pretty great and I'd be kinda chuffed if someone made tribute a kid of mine (If I had one). Calm down, Dear. It's only fashion!
