God->Kat Macleod. Kat Macleod->The World.
Okay, okay, The Muslim has already given me a hard enough time, as far as my absence from the blog is concerned. But here I am, okay? And I brought a present. Yes, she is a well established, well known, well loved artist, named Kat Macleod. So I guess it's not a present from me. Yeah, I guess I should change that statement, to say "she's given us a present; her creativity." Well, actually, Noelle is the one who emailed me a link to Kat's artwork, which gave me the gift of Kat's wonderful creativity. So it looks like Noelle gave me the gift, which Kat had given to her, which God gave to Kat, okay? Clear? At any rate....her work is amazing. Yeah. Amazing. Like...full-on, published-in-Chinese-Vogue-amazing.

Elisabeth Llach........is awesome.
If the fashion industry were the mom, and the funeral industry were the dad, then Elisabeth Llach's artwork would be their spawn. Here, meet the Fashion-Funeral quintuplets! I've got to say, they make a very handsome family.

Valeria Petrone
Valeria Petrone is an italian illustrator, who's had massive success around the globe. That's probably because she's massively awesome. Most recently, her work was selected, in the Communication Arts 2012 illustration competition. I love her work SO MUCH! I've been pressing my copy of Comm Arts against my forehead, hoping to soak up every bit of it.

Steven Tabbutt
Steven Tabbutt: an illustrator/painter with an very clear sense of direction and an exceptionally interesting point of view. There's something very special and unique about his work, and I can't quite put my finger on it. The figures in his illustrations have a strange, eery sense of presence. Almost like they are looking back. It's witchcraft, I tell you. www.steventabbutt.com

Christina K, everybody.
When you've got it, you've got it. Her is an example of that principle. This is the work of Christina K, a London based artist. I've got to say....one of my new favorites. I'm borderline obsessed, actually. See more at www.debutart.com/illustration/christina-k#/illustration

This is what springtime in hell looks like!
Stumbled across Drfranken on Deviantart.com. I have to admit, I know absolutely nothing more about Drfranen, except that he is a guy from Spain, and he was Born on December 6. I'm not kidding. That is literally all of the information I have on this guy. Still, his art kind of speaks for itself. I love the colors. I love how bright and springy the images are, but at the same time, they are completely creepy.

The Daily Awesome
Love the Leigh. Leigh Viner, that is. She's a rising star in the fashion illustration world. You can see why. Well, that's about all. Oh, and she's from Colorado. I'm not sure why, but that kind of took me by surprise. Aaaaaanyway....I think her stuff is great.

The Daily Awesome
The Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts' fashion department released images of its 2011 show. I think that we can all agree that it's pretty much spot-on amazing. Fashion is art. Here's proof. Let's give you a taste....manday monday style.

I dare you to try to tell me that this is not completely awesome.
Go on and tell your yoga instructor, your zen master, your hippie hoop-la guru, or whatever....that you no longer need their services. Tell them that you have communed with God and found inner peace, looking at a fashion spread. The images are old, I know, but it's still the best I've ever seen. I challenge you to show me a shoot that is better than this one. I said...I challenge you! (glove smack to the face)

I'll take mine black. No sugar. No cream.
This is Sam Weber. Yep, probably one of the coolest illustrators out there. And it's "legit" cool, too, not "tortured artist" cool. He won Communication Arts' illustration contest and was featured on the cover, and has since illustrated several very popular book covers. I watch his website like a hawk, waiting for him to post new images. sampaints.com Drink it in and grovel, folks! He's better than us all!

Let Me Just Take It Back
John Held....you know him? Well if not, it's about time you did. He illustrated countless covers for Life magazine. His illustrations caused a fashion CRAZE, and energized women's fashion in the 20's. So...if you have ever said "I totally LOVE the clothes from the 1920's!" (in a valley girl accent), what you are really saying is "I appreciate the work of the late John Held, and I feel that he made an important contribution to the early century's fashion revolution." (In a hoity-toity art collector accent)
